Hiding Out

$1,800.00

36” x 36”

Acrylic on canvas.

"Hiding Out" is a large abstract painting composed of layered brushwork, blended color fields, and visible texture throughout the surface. The composition features a dominant palette of warm pinks, coral reds, and peach tones, interwoven with deeper browns, muted greens, and soft gray areas.

Broad, gestural strokes move across the canvas in multiple directions, with thicker applications of paint creating raised texture in the central and lower sections. Lighter, semi-transparent layers allow underlying colors to show through, especially in the midsection where pale neutrals and soft whites soften the composition.

Bold accents of yellow and golden tones appear near the center, intersecting with darker strokes of charcoal and black that cut across the surface. There are areas of smudging and blending alongside more defined, opaque marks. Fine linework and sketch-like markings are scattered throughout, adding contrast against the softer blended regions.

The overall surface combines dense, layered areas with more open, diffused sections, creating variation in texture, opacity, and color distribution across the canvas.
